In Memory of

Last Friday two Finnish climbers fell to their deaths near Chamonix, France. Many people outside the mountain community have been asking why they went there, to such a dangerous place.

The people voicing such comments have been not only ignorant but often also offensive and judgmental.

After such tragic events, the loved ones are already saddened by the loss; there’s no reason to add anger with unthoughtful remarks. If you don’t understand or you think you know it better even you’ve never been there, leave it, and don’t judge.

May their souls rest in heavenly peace.
